MMAIsland Rankings Update – July 17 2026

Its time for a rankings updates following UFC 329 this past weekend. There are some movers in the divisional rankings off the back of an incredible event.

Liverpool’s Paddy Pimblett is the big mover this week after his spectactular submission win over Benoit Saint Denis this past weekend. The first round submission win over the Frenchman moves Paddy up three points to 6th place, whilst Saint Denis falls two spots to 9th place.

Other movements this week are in the Bantamweight division as Mario Bautista topples Cory Sandhagen and moves a point above him to 5th place. This movement follows Mario’s unanimous victory over the Colorado native Sandhagen. Both fighters now have a win over each other so expect the trilogy to be completed soon.

Elsewhere in the Flyweight division Brandon Royval moves up a spot after his late submission win over England’s Lone’er Kavanagh (10-2), the former title contender Royval (17-2) is now 3-2 in his last 5 UFC outtings and puts a end to a two fight skid, coming off of back to back loses to Manel Kape and current Flyweight Champion Joshua Van in what was the Fight of the Year.

With a busy weekend of events featuring shows by both the UFC and PFL next weeks rankings could see some big movers!
