Allan Nascimento, 34, dies after apparent heart attack

It is with great sadness today that the UFC has announced that Flyweight Allan Nascimento (22-7) has passed away due to an apparent heart attack.

The UFC Flyweight who competed 5 times for the promotion, in addition to a stint on Dana White’s Contender Series Brazil 3, was just 34 years old. A statement from the UFC confirmed Allan’s death stating that the Brazilian was found unresponsive on Monday morning after suffering an apparent heart attack in his sleep.

“Despite the efforts of the responing medical team, he was pronounced deceased at the scene, our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Allan’s family, friends, team-mates and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.” – UFC Statement

A Chute Boxe alumni, Nascimento trained under the tutiledge of Diego Lima, and was a training partner of former Lightweight Champion Charles Oliveira. Oliveira posted on his social media

“Today I lost a brother that the fight game gave me, thank you for always being by my side, for sharing the mats and the corner. I have nothing but gratitude for having you with me in training, in the corner, and just hanging out. I love uyou man; you’re a legend.” – Charles Oliveira, Instagram

Fellow training partner Elves Brener also said that he is thankful for the “wounderful journey” calling Nasicmento his brother and an incredible person, further saying that “today is an extremely sad day for us all at Chute Boxe.
