FightStar Championship signs new broadcast deal with DAZN

One of the UK’s top MMA promotions has today announced a landmark broadcast deal with DAZN making it the only UK promotion with a DAZN deal in place.

FightStar Championship has announced today that starting with FSC37 this August every FightStar Championship event will be broadcast live and free-to-air worldwide on DAZN.

FightStar Championship CEO Raj Singh said in a social media announcement

FightStar Championship is one of the leading UK promotions with several of the promotions alumni, including the likes of Louie Sutherland, Paul Craig, Mario Pinto, Simeon Powell, and Lone’er Kavanagh, moving on to the UFC, Bellator and the PFL.

FightStar Championship’s inaugural DAZN event will take place on August 23rd live from the Indigo at the 02 in London, England. The event is set to feature a main card that is stacked from top to bottom, with three title fights closing out the show.

A flyweight title bout between Muhidin Abubakar (12-1) who is looking for his fourth successful defence against Brazilian Ronaldo Oliveira (15-5-1). Also featured is a Vacant Light Heavyweight Title bout between Brazil’s C. Gibrainn de Oliveira (6-2) as he looks to take gold against the Ukrainian Ihor Potieria (21-8).

Topping off the card is a Welterweight unification bout between current & defending champion Nathan Jones (17-12), who just this past June, successfully took Welterweight gold at another UK promotion FCC, against Jordan Rutherford, after the win he called out the FSC Interim Welterweight Champion Tom Mullen (11-2), this is looking set to be an absolute barn burner with no love lost between the pair!
